Looking for a star entrée for the holiday season ?? This is it! So elegant, you won't believe how easy it was to prepare!


  • 4 x VG Gourmet Lentil Walnut Burgers
  • 2 x Red Onions, sliced
  • 3 x Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 x Tsp. Sesame Seeds
  • 1 x Tsp. Salt and Pepper
  • 1 x Tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 x Package Filo Dough


  1. In a skillet over medium heat add 1 tsp. of olive oil and 2 large red onions (sliced). Cook for 2 minutes, add 1 tsp. balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Cook for 10 minutes more stirring occasionally.
  2. Prepare VG Gourmet Lentil Walnut Burgers in a frying pan.
  3. Place 1 sheet of filo dough on a flat surface, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with a few sesame seeds. Top with a second sheet of filo dough, brush again with olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Continue until you have 4 sheets of filo dough. Top with 1 VG Gourmet Lentil Walnut Burger and a big scoop of caramelized onions. Lift the edges of your filo dough and bring towards the center. Twist and squeeze the dough with your hands to close at the center. Brush the parcel with more olive oil and sprinkle with a few sesame seeds. Continue with the remaining burgers.
  4. Bake at 425 F for 8 minutes.
